Tons of stuff to get to...

1) New temporary rule for my freelance design. Until May, I will only be working weekends. That means my design load is going to lighten significantly; therefore resulting in a large backup of potential jobs... So if you have a design job for me, please get it in to me ahead of time so I can get to you by your deadline...

2) To those who have e-mailed me and have not gotten a response from me yet... I'm trying my hardest to balance school and design, so just hang tight and I will try to get back to everyone in my e-mail (mkdesign@rocketmail.com) by next weekend...

3) Due to my artwork being stolen out of my portfolios, I am making some changes to my presentations... I will be changing the appearance of my portfolio... I have already changed a few, but it will take some time to renovate my gallery...

4) On a similar note, I will be cleaning out some of my older artwork. It's not exactly up to par with what I am capable of and I want everyone to see only my best work...

5) The Calgary Flames NHL rebranding is coming soon... I'm working on a brand new template and the logos still need some work... No time table as of yet, but hopefully everything will fall in place.

6) mattkauzlarich.com will be coming to you as well...

I think that is all for now... I have so much stuff that I should upload here, it's not funny.

Some people were put on this planet for a specific purpose. Beethoven was created to play piano. Einstien was created to think. Michael Jordan was made to play basketball. I have always felt as if I was made to be a designer...

My love for sports design started when I was 5 years of age. Receiving the love of sports from my father and the urge to draw from my mother, I found bliss combining the two formed my favorite hobby.

I completed my first design job at the age of 15 for a local club. My fictional series: "Rebranding the NHL" has become quite popular with hockey fans all over the globe, bringing about a small portion of internet fame. During the summer of '09, I was hired to resign my first professional team: The Quad City Mallards of the International Hockey League. Now at the age of 20, I am a full time graphic design student and have been blessed enough to have my designs appear all over the internet. I have even found one of my logos on the mask of an NHL goalkeeper, which was quite exciting...

One of my most valuable assets is the idea of being a "Designer Athlete". Because of my past and current background in athletics (NAIA soccer player as well as a multi-sport athlete in high school), I know what athletes like; what makes them feel good and proud to wear a design.

While I specialize in sports branding, I do not limmatthiason.deviantart.com/#it myself to merely sports. I have slowly expanded into the world of corporate branding, a new adventure for me. While there are a few differences between the two, I try to take the same mental approach into corporate branding as I take into sports design: what is my client trying to communicate with his identity and what is the best way to bring that idea to the forefront?

If you feel that you could be interested in my services, feel free to shoot me an e-mail at: mkdesign@rocketmail.com

God bless,

Matty K.

Not sure if my comment on the deviation itself went through, sever errors are a pain. But I used your hockey jersey template, hope that's okay. :) I also hope you like it!
