SJ Sharks_Boucher Helmet Logo

Part of my Rebranding the NHL set from a few years back... Somehow it ended up on the helmet of NHL goalie Brian Boucher... I found the artist who painted the helmet, but he wouldn't give me any compensation for it. And if I threatened to sue, then he would just have it repainted. So I would rather have someone use it and be able to brag about it then try to fight for a little pocket change... even though I could use every penny right about now...

And if anyone out there has any advice, then feel free to leave some!

Wow. I've been gone for a long time.

I've finally begun the updating process of my deviantArt page. It's going to take some time, so show some patience...

... but I will tell you that new RtNHL is in the works.

Some people were put on this planet for a specific purpose. Beethoven was created to play piano. Einstien was created to think. Michael Jordan was made to play basketball. I have always felt as if I was made to be a designer...

My love for sports design started when I was 5 years of age. Receiving the love of sports from my father and the urge to draw from my mother, I found bliss combining the two formed my favorite hobby.

I completed my first design job at the age of 15 for a local club. My fictional series: "Rebranding the NHL" has become quite popular with hockey fans all over the globe, bringing about a small portion of internet fame. During the summer of '09, I was hired to resign my first professional team: The Quad City Mallards of the International Hockey League. Now at the age of 20, I am a full time graphic design student and have been blessed enough to have my designs appear all over the internet. I have even found one of my logos on the mask of an NHL goalkeeper, which was quite exciting...

One of my most valuable assets is the idea of being a "Designer Athlete". Because of my past and current background in athletics (NAIA soccer player as well as a multi-sport athlete in high school), I know what athletes like; what makes them feel good and proud to wear a design.

While I specialize in sports branding, I do not lim[link] myself to merely sports. I have slowly expanded into the world of corporate branding, a new adventure for me. While there are a few differences between the two, I try to take the same mental approach into corporate branding as I take into sports design: what is my client trying to communicate with his identity and what is the best way to bring that idea to the forefront?

Looking at your logos just inspires me. Makes me wish I could skip work and just sit home and draw all day.
